Melbourne City Wedding – Loft inspired

Phoebe and Kane’s love story reads like something out of a fairy tale: the two met at a birthday celebration, but the moment Kane saw Phoebe, he knew, saying she looked like a modern day princess. And the romance and urban fairytale theme was just as evident in their Melbourne City Wedding, captured by photographer Jeremey Blode.

Inspired by an urban loft lifestyle, the couple blended modern details with an art deco style for a look that was at once contemporary and timeless–all of which started with the modern invitations from Giant Invitations.

While many couples opt for florals and other classically romantic details, Phoebe and Kane incorporated geometric designs and clean lines, with a touch of Gatsby-inspired glamour into their wedding.

Greenery and modern arch windows framed their nuptials and reception at Panama Dining Room, with exposed white brick, cascading blush rose archways, minimalist chairs, and crisp white tablecloths. Appetizers were on display beside green foliage. Pink candles, lush plants, and beautiful lighting added to the ambiance. Guests enjoyed a full bar and live music.

As for the fashion? Both Phoebe and Kane would make a Gatsby fan delight. Kane donned a white suit jacket with a blush tie. Phoebe wore a classic updo with a beaded headband and classic pearl drop earrings. Her wedding dress featured a soft plunging neckline, diaphanous neckline, and a fitted skirt for a feminine, modern, but romantic look.
